Head outdoors and celebrate nature at Fall Fest at Gale Woods Farm!

Fall is my favorite season, so it’s no surprise that an event titled Fall Fest will catch my eye. That’s what’s going on this Saturday, October 11th and Sunday, October 12th from 10 am – 4 pm at Gale Woods Farm in Minnetrista.
Combine “fall” with “free” and you’ve really got me sold!

At this event, you’ll explore all sorts of outdoor activities like meeting the farm animals, exploring nature with the aid of Three Rivers naturalists, and visiting the teaching garden and woodfire oven.
Oh, and there’s also a fiber vendor fair, live music, sheepdog herding demonstrations, cooking demonstrations from local chefs, and lots more!

You’ll be able to walk or take a wagon ride through Gale Woods Farm, kids can play in the hay bale play area, and you can try your hand at pressing apples into cider.
And did I mention you can walk a llama?!

Most activities are free, but obviously if you want to buy food or drinks from the Festival Village or something from the vendor fair, there’s a charge for that. And the optional make-and-take craft for kiddos (a fall-on-a-stick themed wool fiber craft) is $3.
Complimentary parking is available throughout the park. If the parking lots fill, there is overflow parking nearby and they’ll fire up the event shuttle. Golf carts are available for guests wanting mobility accommodations on a first come/first served basis.
Gale Woods Farm is located at 7210 County Road 110 W in Minnetrista.
