There are plenty of holiday-themed activities taking place this month, but sometimes it’s nice to just get outside and enjoy the cooler weather while staying active. This Saturday, December 4 you can participate in Farm Frolic at the historic Oliver Kelley Farm in Elk River. The event takes place from 10 am – 4 pm.
The historic buildings will not be open, but you can still walk the trails and imagine what life was like in the days before cell phones, the internet, and the distractions of our modern age.
They’ll serve complimentary hot beverages in the visitor center, and you can frost your own farm animal cookies for a small fee. Plus, the museum store will be open for holiday shopping with double discounts for MNHS members.
