The Minnesota History Center will have a free admission day on Saturday, December 9.
The Minnesota History Center is such a fun place to explore in St. Paul! I hope to be able to go this weekend for their FREE admission day on Saturday, December 9 from 10am- 4pm.
Right now they have two new exhibits on view: The Life & Art of Charles Schulz and Our Home: Reframing Our Stories.
The Life & Art of Charles Schulz explores Schulz’s personal history and his role as the inspiration and artistic talent behind Peanuts and its beloved cast of characters. Follow Schulz from his Minnesota roots to his life in California and track the development of the characters that make up the unique world of Peanuts.
Our Home: Reframing our Stories comes from a decades-old box of photographs. Inside the box were dozens of pictures of Native community members, organizations, activities, and events that are relevant today. Now in the hands of Indigenous community members, those photos have new meaning.
The Minnesota History Center free admission day on Saturday, December 9 is made possible by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Minnesota, celebrating 90 years of making a difference in Minnesota communities.
In conjunction with this free day, items from Blue Cross Blue Shield’s recently unearthed 1951 and 1970 time capsules will be available to view in the first-floor History Center rotunda.
