Looking for a fun family friendly activity on a Sunday? Check out Eastman Nature Center in Three Rivers Park District for multiple opportunities throughout the summer.
The Three Rivers Park District offers Free Family Fun Days every Sunday from 1 pm – 3 pm at Eastman Nature Center in Osseo. Stop in at a time that works for you.
For all of these fre Funday Sunday activities, children ages 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Check out the variety of activities and find one that your family would enjoy!
July 6, 2025:
- Geocache Adventure: Explore the beauty of Eastman Nature Center by using technology and simple navigation skills to find geocaches hidden in the woods! Learn the basics of using a GPS device and then see how many geocaches you can find. Geocaches are hidden between 200 feet to 1/4 mile away. All supplies provided. Drop in anytime.

- Snake Ambassadors: Snakes have an important role in the environment and Minnesota habitats. Come meet our snake ambassador, learn about snakes in Minnesota and discover their adaptations for survival.

- Predict the Weather: Become a meteorologist and predict the weather! Use real tools that meteorologists use to collect information about temperature, wind speed and clouds as you take a self-guided hike. Work with a naturalist to use that data and make an accurate weather forecast. Drop in anytime.

- Pond Exploration: Explore one of summertime’s coolest habitats: the pond! Meet a naturalist at the dock to scoop with a net and use a magnifier to help identify aquatic invertebrates and plants.
