This year’s Ice Castles MN attraction is taking place at the MN State Fairgrounds and is now open! There is plenty of free parking in the Robin Lot when you enter the fairgrounds off Hoy Avenue into Gate 3.
Ice Castles MN is a fun place to visit as a family or as an adults-only night out. It’s really that cool! We have been both with the littles and as a “double date” with friends in the evening and had a blast on both types of visits.
Ice Castles MN Ticket Prices
Tickets for Ice Castles can be purchased online where you will select a 30 minute arrival window, but you are allowed to stay as long as you like. You’ll want to buy tickets online because they are $2 less than at the gate PLUS you’ll be able to use our additional discount code.
- General Admission (ages 12+): $22.98 Monday + Thursday | $30.57 Friday – Sunday + Winter Breaks
- Child Admission (ages 4 – 11): $16.48 Monday + Thursday | $21.90 Friday – Sunday
- Ages 0 – 3: FREE
Free WinterVision Glasses are included with each child ticket. If you plan to visit multiple times you can also look to purchase a season pass!

Special Features
Castle Quest
Add some extra adventure to you visit with Castle Quest! At no extra charge, use your mobile device to go on a scavenger hunt throughout the Ice Castles. Look for Castle Quest signs with QRcodes that direct you to activities to complete along your route. There are three different activities to choose from and once you’ve completed your quest you can head to the gift shop to claim your prize!
Ice Chutes
How fun is an ice slide!! Ice Castles has two different options available for both little kids and big kids/adults. The Ice Chute is the larger dual ice slide for those who are at least 38″ tall. You sit on a sliding mat and taking a thrilling trip down the hill.
There’s also the Little Chute designed for little kids – although all ages and heights can slide down it. As there are no mats for the Little Chute, snow pants are strongly recommeded.
