The 15th annual Kids to Parks Day is happening Saturday, May 17th at various parks throughout the nation.
An annual event, celebrated on the third Saturday of May, focuses on the importance of experiencing enjoyment through outdoor play.
Discover and explore the great outdoors through park events. National Kids to Parks Day, which is organized by National Park Trust, is designed to connect kids and their families to memorable experiences found in parks.
This mission is developed through experiences, learn about park stewardship, outdoor recreation, STEM, and the history of our country and its amazing national treasures.
In Minnesota, Kids to Parks Day events are currently planned for Eagan, Burnsville and Waite Park (Saint Cloud Area).
Cops and Bobbers in Eagan (Blackhawk Park)
Go fishing with an Eagan Police Officer during Cops and Bobbers from 9am- 12:30pm! Participants will spend the morning with officers to enjoy fishing together and learning about Eagan Police through fun activities and giveaways. Poles and bait provided, $10 per participant with free lunch from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. 1629 Murphy Parkway, Eagan, Minnesota
Jumpin’ To Spring in Burnsville (Alimagnet Park Soccer Fields)
Kids and families are invited to join the Recreation Department at Alimagnet Park to kick off the spring season during the Jumpin’ To Spring event! Kids to Park Day at Quarry Park and Nature Preserve (Waite Park)
Celebrate Kids to Parks Day, and national day of outdoor play. Join us at Quarry Park & Nature Preserve from 10 AM to 1 PM for a fun-filled day of exploration and outdoor activities! This event encourages children and families to discover the wonders of nature, learn about park stewardship, and engage in outdoor recreation.
