Minnesota Vikings: Training Camp Activities

Football season will soon be here and the Minnesota Vikings will take the field. Head to Twin Cities Orthopedics Performance Center in Eagan for many fan activities over the next few weeks at Vikings Training Camp.

Be one of the first fans to get a look at the 2023 Minnesota Vikings and cheer them on the field while making summer memories with family and friends at many Minnesota Viking Training Camp Events.

Saturday, July 29: Back Together Weekend

Training Camp kicks off this weekend. In addition to practice, the day includes giveaways, performances, and player autographs.

As part of the celebration, The Salvation Army is hosting “Down for the Challenge” to raise money for The Salvation Army’s housing and homeless prevention programs in the Twin Cities.

Thursday, August 3: Thursday Night Football

Gather your friends for Thursday Night Football from 5 pm – 10 pm, with practice at 7 pm. The night features a 2-for-1 Vizzy Hard Seltzer special, Scheels autographed football toss, and post-practice fireworks.

Tuesday, August 8: Family Night

Enjoy a Scheels autographed football toss, a Sustainable Safari appearance, live DJ, practice session, and post-practice fireworks. Family night runs from 5 pm – 10 pm, with practice starting at 7:30 pm.

 

 

Training Camp Daily Football Practice: 

In addition to these larger events, there are many opportunities to attend Daily Practice. 

Watch the team take the field, enjoy fun football games and giveaways, and score player autographs. Practices take place at the Land O’ Lakes, Inc. Practice Fields. Admission is $5 for Adults, and Free for Kids 17 & Under.

Daily practice occurs the following dates. The gates open between 12pm and 5pm, with a 2:30pm practice time, unless noted.

Player Autographs

Kids 17 and under can score an autograph at Vikings Training Camp. Upon entering Training Camp, kids will receive a scratch-off ticket on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. The ticket reveals a line number and autograph zone. Check the autograph calendar to see what position is highlighted when you plan to attend.

Meet and Greet

Viktor the Viking, the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders and Vikings Legends will be visiting the Autograph Zone each day to greet fans, take pictures and sign autographs.

• 12:30 – 1:15 p.m.: Vikings Legends
• 1:00 – 1:45 p.m.: Viktor the Viking
• 1:30 – 2:15 p.m.: Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders

Scheels Football Toss

Stick around after practice for your chance to catch a Scheels football autographed by a current Vikings player. Every day Vikings players will head to the bleachers and toss out mini footballs to fans.

• Land O’ Lakes, Inc. Practice Fields: Footballs will be tossed out at the end of each practice
• TCO Stadium: Footballs will be tossed out during team introductions by every position group following Night Practices.

Visit the Vikings Museum

This museum has a 360-degree video theater, multiple interactive exhibits and hundreds of historical artifacts. Fans can learn fascinating stories and insider details of the franchise’s first six decades in fun and unique ways.

Youth Clinics

The Minnesota Vikings organization supports football at all levels by hosting free Vikings Youth Football Camps. These one-day, non-contact camps are perfect for boys and girls of all skill levels, ages six to fourteen. Although these clinics are currently full, you can select to join the waitlist in case a spot opens up.

Junior Cheer Camp

The Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders Junior Cheer program is designed specifically to promote confidence, hard work, leadership, and FUN among youth 3 – 14 years of age. This program offers a special opportunity to perform during a professional production in front of Minnesota Vikings fans at U.S. Bank Stadium.   

Although registration for 2023 is closed, you are able to enter your contact information on the site to be notified when information about 2024 is released for cheer camp.

Vikings Table Powered by Xcel Energy

If you come hungry to training camp, no problem! The Vikings Table food truck will be on site located on the upper plaza, near the Gold Gate, every day of Vikings Training Camp. Fans can stop by for new mouth-watering menu creations. Proceeds from every meal purchased at Vikings Table go directly to free meals for youth and families in need.

Kids Activities at Minnesota Viking Training Camp:

Plan to bring the whole family to Eagan. While at Training Camp, there are so many Kids Activities to check out.

• West Lawn: Enjoy kid friendly activities and shade near the practice fields.
• Kids Zone: TCO Stadium | Field Level
  • Stop by to participate in football tosses, field goal kicks, a 40-yard dash, flag football, an obstacle course, bean bag tosses and more.
  • Kids Zone will be closed for night practices
• Park Dental Putt Putt: The Midfield
  • Test your golf skills. There will be 6 different mini-golf holes with Vikings and dental themes.
• Game Day Griddy: The Midfield
  • Show off your Griddy and compete in gameday challenges. Using unique Pavegen technology, this activation generates renewable energy with each footstep.
• Chuck for Charity: TCO Stadium | South Concourse
  • Show off your inner QB at the Chuck for Charity. For a donation of $5, you receive three attempts to throw a football into the target for a chance to win an autographed Vikings item. There is a closer line to the target for a smaller prize. All donations support the Minnesota Vikings Foundation’s mission of advancing the well-being of youth through engaging health and education initiatives.
• Enjoy Eagan | Upper Plaza
  • Stop by this booth to learn about the community surrounding TCO Performance Center. Play a fun game of Plinko to win amazing prizes for all ages, including gift cards from restaurants and attractions around the area.
