Interested in seeing an original outdoor puppet show in the Twin Cities this summer? You can with Open Eye Theatre’s 2026 Driveway Tour!
Every summer, Open Eye Theatre hosts a Driveway Tour all throughout the Twin Cities to bring accessible original, high-quality puppet shows to children and their families.
Touring June 6 through July 12 is “Tucker’s Robot.” Tucker is a young boy who needs to go back in time to face a neighborhood bully. How do you go back in time? With a time traveling robot of course! Together Tucker and his robot discover the importance of friendship and the courage to face a bully.
Next up from July 16 to August 23 is “Jeremy and the Giant King.” After spending the morning terrorizing the neighborhood, Jeremy and his Little Brother embark on a romp through the forest where they stumble across a mysterious woodland Witch. Jeremy is transported into a fantastical storybook realm, whose inhabitants are at their wits’ end dealing with the problem of a Giant King on the rampage! Can Jeremy help bring order to the realm?
Performances take place all over the Twin Cities at various parks, museums and even peoples homes! The greater public can still sign up to host a performance, learn more from Open Eye Theatre on their website.
