There is nothing I love more than fall! I love everything about the season– sweater weather, sipping on a Pumpkin Spice Latte, putting up fall decorations, visiting apple orchards and more. Picking out our family pumpkins is always a fun activity we love to do year after year!
We rounded up a list of our favorite pumpkin patches in Minnesota, including one right in Minneapolis! You don’t need to travel far to find your very own pumpkin for the fall season.
Our Lady of Peace Church Pumpkin Patch– Minneapolis
Our Lady of Peace Church in Minneapolis has hosted a pumpkin patch for many years right in Minneapolis! This year it’s moving to a one-day format on Saturday, October 25th from 10am – 6pm. There will be lots of pumpkins available for purchase, along with lots of fun activities such as live music, carnival games, petting zoo, face painting, food vendors and more. The event is free but tokens will be required to participate in activities.
Joyer Adventure Farm— Lino Lakes
We love Joyer Adventure Farm in Lino Lakes! I love that visiting a farm can be as close to the cities at Lino Lakes. There’s lots to do that is included in admission: visiting animals in the barnyard, zoom mountain, low ropes course, pedal trikes, farm dig sandbox, bubble barn and more! Plus you can visit the the pick your own produce area during each season! Right now there are pumpkins, squash, gourds, mums, kale, corn stalks, hay bales, ornamental corn and much more available!
Tickets for Fall Fun are $16.99 weekdays (they are closed on Tuesdays), $19.99 on weekends, kids 2 and under are free! All activities are included in the ticket price except gem mining, animal feed and paying for the produce you pick.
Schiltgen Farms— Afton
Schiltgen Farms located in Afton is a great option for finding your 2025 pumpkins. I love supporting a local family business and Schiltgen Farms has been selling produce in road stands for over 40 years!
Their 2025 pumpkin patch is open now Thursday- Sunday each week through October. Not only can you pick your own pumpkin from the patch, they have a corn maze, mums, lots of other fall decorations and a rotating list of coffee and/or food trucks on site! They also have over 40 types of pumpkins for sale so if you are looking for the most unique pumpkins– this is the place to visit!

Axdahl Farms— Stillwater
Axdahl Farms is a great stop for all your produce needs! There are pumpkins, pumpkins and more pumpkins found right in front of their barn, but you can also explore the patch and find your own treasure. Don’t miss your chance to check out their annual corn maze too!
Axdahl Farms doesn’t use GMO’s, so be sure to check out their produce when you visit! They update what produce is in season every week on their website.
Barten Pumpkins— New Prague
Barten Pumpkins is not your average pumpkin patch and fall festival– there is no admission charge! Open daily, you can expect lots of family fun any day of the week including nature play area, basketball, photo opportunities, storytime corner, live music and of course a wonderful stroll to the pumpkin patch.
There are many different kinds of pumpkins as well as mums and other fall decorations. You can check out their live music schedule on their Facebook page.
Triple S Pumpkin Patch— Royalton
Big thanks to our reader, Becky, for telling us about Triple S Pumpkin Patch in Royalton! Triple S Pumpkin Patch is open weekends now through October and has no entrance fees. You pay for your own produce and can donate if you so choose.
Fall weekend activities include you pick pumpkins, wagon rides, petting zoo, playgrounds, photo opportunities and more! Please note they take cash, Venmo or cards, but there is a $2 card fee.
Crazy Legs Farm and Pumpkins– Farmington
There’s free admission to Crazy Legs Farm and Pumpkin Patch and you can pick any pumpkin you want for only $5! Hayrides are free as well so make sure you pick the best and biggest pumpkin! Additional free activities include corn pit, straw mountain and giant slides.
Additional activities have various costs and include corn maze, pumpkin sling shots, barrel train and more! This place looks so fun, it’s definitely going on our fall family fun bucket list this year.
