Don’t miss your chance to see Matilda The Musical JR. at Stages Theatre Company now through May 19th!
My son and I had the opportunity to see Matilda The Musicial JR. at Stages Theatre Company in Hopkins last weekend and I can only say one word: GO! It was such a fun and uplifting show. We would highly recommend seeing it before it closes on May 19th.
Have you read Matilda by Roald Dahl? Or maybe you’ve seen the movie musical version from Netflix? It’s a great story about standing up for what’s right, being brave and writing your own story. And of course there is amazing singing and dancing that comes along with that important message! We were impressed with every single performer on stage- from the kids to adults, they were giving 100%!
Not only was the show wonderful, Stages Theatre Company also creates Resource Guides and Matilda is no exception. In the Matilda The Musical JR. Resource Guild you can find information about the story, characters, questions for discussion before and after the show, additional reading resources and more. As a mom I really enjoy the resource guide because we can continue learning and bonding long after the curtain closes.
We didn’t know this but after the show, the performers wait in the lobby and sign everyone’s playbill. My son and I thought it was very special to be able to meet the performers. He wasn’t prepared with questions for them this time, but I’m sure now he knows we will meet them after the show– he is going to come prepared next time!
Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical JR. is recommended for ages 5 and up. It is a 75 minute show with no intermission. There are only a handful of performances left this Wednesday, May 15th through Sunday, May 19th. Tickets are $19 for children 17 and under, as well as seniors 60 plus and adults are $21.
Don’t miss your chance to see Matilda The Musical JR. at Stages Theatre Company!
