Explore Sherburne County Parks and poetry this summer, walking through the Poetry Story Stroll.
Stroll through participating park trails within Sherburne County for the Poetry Story Stroll between June 5 – August 5, 2023. While walking along the path, read the work of young poets from Sherburne County.
The work of these poets aligns with this year’s theme of the Summer Reading Program, which is “Find Your Voice!”
We went to a Story Stroll a few summers ago featuring children’s books. As you got a little deeper into the park, signs and pictures led you on a story walk through the park.
The way the signs were set-up and spaced, it easily allowed for the kids to go at their own pace throughout the path.
This activity was a win-win, as it connected outdoor air with exercise and a literacy activity! Our family enjoyed our time spent in the park.
