Looking for an indoor activity this weekend or something to do on MLK Day? Como Park Zoo and Conservatory is hosting Tropical Oasis Weekend with fun for the whole family.
Head to Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul this weekend, Saturday, January 18th- Monday, January 20th for Tropical Oasis Weekend.
From 10am -4pm each day, you can participate in free activities for the whole family. There will be tons of crafts, interactive stations and games throughout the zoo and conservatory.
Highlights include a guided tour of Tropical Encounters daily at 10:30am and 1:30pm, where you can get up close to freshwater stingrays, river turtles, frogs, toads, dazzling fish, free-roaming birds, an anaconda, and the star of the show—Chloe the Sloth!
Check out the Winter Flower Show with the brand-new ramps in the Sunken Garden. How exciting to have a full accessible space for all to enjoy the flowers! The 2025 Winter Flower Show features a stunning display of flowering trees, shrubs, bulbs, and blooms. Pink velthiemia, dark red pansies, crimson dianthus, hibiscus, delicate poppies, fragrant sweet peas, and phlox are featured in this winter display.
On Sunday, January 19th, listen to local music during the ““Music Under Glass” free concert series from 4:30 -6:30pm. Please note there is no seating, this is best enjoyed standing or roaming the gardens.
Don’t forget– kids don’t have school on Monday, January 20th for MLK Day! Como Park Zoo and Conservatory would be a great place to spend your day together.
