Celebrate fall at Wargo Nature Center in Lino Lakes!
They’re hosting their annual Wargo Fall Festival, a FREE event that is family-friendly. Stop by on Saturday, October 21 from 1 – 4 pm.
They’ll crank up the cider press, play pioneer games, and have self-guided nature activities available for you and your family.
This year has something special with the new Fall Sound Garden to celebrate the symphony of fall at Wargo Nature Center!
Wander through the enchanting autumn forest and immerse yourself in the unique experience of music. It will include a roving site-specific movement by dancers with live musical accompaniment. There will also be embedded poetry and visual art, co-presented by Wavelets Creative.
Created by composer JG Everest, Sound Gardens are large-scale sound installations that use 60+ small speakers to create immersive ecosystems of sound that layer and mingle with existing sounds in nature.
Each speaker plays a different part of the whole piece of music, so that every step, every turn of the head, every bird song and shifting breeze results in a different mix and arrangement of the music.
Follow the Facebook event page for any updates.
Wargo Nature Center is located within the Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Park Reserve in Lino Lakes.
