The Winter Lighting Ceremony in Burnsville is coming up this week!
Do you have a favorite holiday light event? We share a lot of ours here on this site but also like to find new places.
We have attended the Winter Lighting Ceremony in Burnsville in the past and their downtown area is beautiful.
Last year this event was virtual only with a live stream, but this year you can also attend the ceremony in person on Wednesday, November 24.
Once the lights are lit, you can drive through and see it in its full beauty!
We enjoy going to different towns after they are all decorated for the holidays. Some have great main streets to walk while others are more of a drive through type. What’s your favorite town to see holiday lights? Or do you have a great yearly tradition that we can share with our readers?
Additional information about the Burnsville Winter Lighting Ceremony:
Every winter, Burnsville’s Heart of the City area shines bright with more than 200,000 mini lights, 230 streetlight snowflakes and a 30-foot-tall tree. This illuminating season always begins with the annual Winter Lighting Ceremony at Nicollet Commons Park.
We are excited that this event will return to Nicollet Commons Park and be held on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, Nov. 24.
Join the Burnsville Community Foundation with Santa, Mrs. Claus and Mayor Kautz for this seasonal tradition as we turn on the amazing lights in Burnsville’s Heart of the City.
