Spend time outside this weekend at the Arbor Day Walk and Green Fair in Eden Prairie.
The upcoming Arbor Day Walk and Green Fair in Eden Prairie is coming up this Saturday, April 29th. It is a chance to celebrate spring! Hopefully, we can put winter and the snow behind us for a while.
The event takes place at Staring Lake Park and is free, no admission is required. Some of the activities taking place from 10 am – 1 pm include:
- Food Truck (10 am – 1 pm)
- Free Seedlings (while supplies last)
- Hands-On Art Activities
- Sustainability Information
- Information on Native Flowers and Plants
- Kids Tree Climbing
- Staring Lake tree walk
- Free garden tool swap and compost (Eden Prairie residents)

Free Compost
Take home a bag of fresh compost for your spring planting needs. Compost is courtesy of Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Organics Recycling Facility, and is made from local food scraps, paper, and yard waste. If you are signed up for organics recycling through your waste hauler, this is the end product of that service!
