Join the Be the Light Winter Solstice Walk and pass through luminary lit paths at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park.
Not everyone is happy this time of year. Many of us have lost someone this past year and we are struggling to enjoy the upcoming holidays.
The Be the Light Winter Solstice Walk is a chance to take some time and think of those that are struggling and trying to get through each day. It takes place Wednesday, December 21 from 6:30 – 8:30 pm at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park.
The event is free, but preregistration is required.
Additional information about the event:
On the shortest day of the year, let’s remember that mental illness or difficult situations can make it difficult for many in our community to “see the light.”
We can help be the light for them and help them take their first “steps” out of the darkness. Walk the luminary lit trails at Westwood Hills Nature Center, create your own unique luminary, light a candle in memory or support of others, and share a message on our “not alone” board.
