Join the Be the Light Winter Solstice Walk and pass through luminary lit paths at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park.
Not everyone is happy this time of year. Many of us have lost someone this past year and we are struggling to enjoy the upcoming holidays.
The Be the Light Winter Solstice Walk is a chance to take some time and think of those that are struggling and trying to get through each day. It takes place Saturday, December 21 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park.
The event is free, but preregistration is required.
Additional information about the event:
Join us on the shortest day of the year to remember that many in our community aren’t able “to see the light” because of struggles with mental health or difficult situations. Follow the luminary walk through the forest guided by visual messages from the community.
Light a candle in honor or memory of someone who struggles with or struggled with mental health. Gather around a fire in the glowing winter light. To share the light, create a luminary with your own message to take home and light your neighborhood. The event is for all ages.
