Join the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, along with the Field Regina Northrop Neighborhood Group to celebrate the new playground at McRae Park!

Join community members to celebrate a new playground at McRae Park in Minneapolis this week.
Kids and families have already been play-testing the new equipment and features of the renovated playground at McRae Park. Now, it’s time to celebrate its opening!

Join community members on Thursday, August 24th from 6 pm – 8 pm for free popsicles, music and special guests. The ribbon cutting celebration and events take place at 704 East 47th Street. The weather make-up date is set for Friday, August 25th, if needed.

Take part in a scavenger hunt in the park, enjoy a popsicle treat, and hear from officials about park improvements. You will also get a chance to listen to music and socialize with your friends and neighbors.
Hear from a few officials who made this project possible, including: MPRB Superintendent Al Bangoura, MPRB Vice President Alicia Crudup, MPRB District 5 Commissioner Steffanie French, and FRNNG Community Coordinator Lauren Anderson.
