Get ready to learn about cats at Crazy About Cats Weekend at Como Zoo and Conservatory Friday, February 14th- Sunday, February 16th!
Did you know Como Zoo and Conservatory is always free? They do appreciate donations if you are able but there is no set admission price, making this one of our favorite thrifty destinations in MN! My whole family loves to attend their theme weekends, not only do you get to visit the animals, Como usually goes all out with learning activities, games and more!
This weekend is Crazy About Cats. From Friday, February 14th to Sunday, February 16th you can learn all about big cats and why they are some of the most skill hunters in the wild. There will be interactive stations, lots of activities, storytimes, crafts and special enrichment times with the animals. Highlights include:
- Cat Abilities Station–where you can challenge yourself to see how fast you can run compared to a cheetah, how far you can jump like a snow leopard, and how well you can balance like a cougar.
- Camouflage Station– where you can try to spot hidden big cats in photos.
- Lion Interpretive Station, where you can touch a lion pelt and learn fascinating lion facts from real biofacts.
- Storytime– reading of “Snowy: Leopard of the High Mountains.”
- Creative crafts– making a folding tiger and more!
Como Zoo and Conservatory is located in St. Paul and open every day during winter from 10am – 4pm. Don’t miss your chance to see the Como Conservatory Winter Flower Show while you’re there!
