I definitely recommend tubing as a fun family activity, especially for those with older kids – it’s a blast!
The Elm Creek Tubing Hill is located at Elm Creek Park Reserve in Maple Grove. The regular rate is $18 plus tax for two hours of tubing. BUT if you go on Wednesdays, you’ll get half off and pay just $9 plus tax for two hours of tubing!
Wednesday hours are 4 – 9 pm, and YES they are still open even though we haven’t had a ton of snow lately.
If you like sledding, you’ll love snow tubing. Ride a moving sidewalk up a hill 10 stories high and then soar back down on a specially designed inner tube. Once you get to the bottom, do it all over again. There are steeper chutes for the more daring and easier chutes for those looking for a more laid-back ride.
At Elm Creek in Maple Grove, all of the tubing lanes are designed for safety and fun. All you need are warm winter clothes—Three Rivers supplies the rest. Riders must be at least 36″ tall or 4 years of age.
