Don’t miss your chance to attend Fraser Festival, a sensory- friendly festival held at the St. Paul RiverCenter this Saturday, April 6th from 10am- 2pm. The event encourages everyone to come as they are, welcoming people of all ages, abilities, neurodiversities, cultures, and backgrounds.
Fraser Festival is an inclusive, sensory-friendly event, offering accommodations for those with sensory processing differences. Accommodations at Fraser Festival include:
- Fraser Sensory Support Volunteers
- Calming space
- Pre-visit story
- Sensory tools
- Therapy animals
Fraser Festival is truly fun for all with music, movement, games, food, and entertainment in zones that engage each of the body’s eight senses. You’re probably familiar with the five senses — taste, smell, hear, touch, and see, but did you know we actually have eight senses? The other three senses are proprioception (coordination), vestibular (balance/movement), and interoception (feeling).
Fraser Festival is free to attend, but they are hoping for fundraising donations. Fraser is Minnesota’s Premier Provider and Expert On Evidence-Based Autism Services.
