Rock The Cradle is a free day of music and fun for kids and their grownups at Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children’s Theatre Company.

Put on your dancing shoes as Rock the Cradle is back for 2024!
This free event for kids and their grownups is one of our favorite events in the Twin Cities. It’s a great way to explore music, art, and culture!
Rock the Cradle takes place at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children’s Theatre Company. Join the fun on Sunday, June 9th from 10 am – 3pm.
If you’ve never been to this event, it really is great. The variety and venue are both perfect. There are both quiet places and events with a bit more energy so something for everyone.
This year will include some great musical artists and performers: Aric Bieganek and R.O.C.K., David Billingsley and guests, Riffin’ Griffin, Salsa Del Soul, DJ Ayisha Jaffer from The Current, O’Shea Irish Dance, Smash Boom Best and more!
Enjoy annual favorites such as the Kids’ Disco and YourClassical Story Time as well as live music, pop-up performances, and more. Rock the Cradle is perfect for kids 2 to 10 and their families, but all families are welcome to attend.
The event is totally FREE!
