I know I’m not the only one that LOVES sunflowers. It seems like over the past few years, there have been sunflower fields popping up left and right.
Visiting a sunflower field is a wonderful opportunity to get some beautiful photos and celebrate the end of the summer before cooler weather hits.
Sunflower Fields in Minnesota
Here’s a list of sunflower fields in Minnesota, some of which offer free admission.
Sunflower fields that charge admission typically have other activities and/or offer U-Pick deals to make your visit extra special.
Afton Apple Orchard (Hastings)
Flower Festival: August 23-24 and August 30-31
- $5 Flower Festival admission to access flower fields PLUS orchard admission also required ($7 for ages 5 and older; $5 for ages 4 and younger)
- Cut your own sunflowers and zinnias ($3/1 bloom, $5/2 blooms, $10/5 blooms)
Autumn Acres (Mankato)
Open as of August 3
- $4/person ages 3 and up, cash and Venmo accepted
- Open daily 10 am – sunset
- Pets and smoking not allowed
- Cut your own flowers for $1.50/stem

Berry & Bloom Farm (Chatfield)
Sunflower field will be in bloom in mid-September.
Big Springs Farm Pumpkins & Corn Maze (Lanesboro)
Opens September 13, will be open weekends and MEA
- Sunflowers and Cut-Your-Own Bouquets available until first frost
- $12 daily admission, free for ages 3 and under

Joyer Adventure Farm (Lino Lakes)
August 14 to September 14, open Thursdays to Sundays
- $16.99/person, free for ages 2 and under
- One (1) U-Pick sunflower bloom included with admission
- Hayrides to the sunflower field

Little Prairie Sunflower Maze (Dundas)
Currently open
- Free
- No maze in 2025, but you can still visit and take pictures with the rows of sunflowers they have planted
LuceLine Orchard & Winery (Watertown)
Opens August 30
- Free admission and free parking
- Hayrides around the sunflower field and corn maze
- Some activities extra
Owl Forest Farm (Iron)
Open May to September only during published U-Pick hours
- Gain entry into the flower fields with a flower purchase during U-Pick (prices start at $30)
Schiltgen Farms (Afton)
Opening date TBA
- 2024 info: $10/adult, $5/child 12 and under
- Cash only
Treasured Haven Farm (Rush City)
Now Open
- $20/car, $10/single persons in a vehicle
- Cash preferred for easy and quick entry
