Enjoy Minnesota winter fun at Tubing at Elm Creek Park Reserve. See the changes for 2021 including a reservations only policy.
We might not have any mountains but we are lucky enough to have some great hills for sledding and tubing. One of our favorite spots happens to be part of the Three River Park District.
Elm Creek Park Reserve is located near Maple Grove. We like that they provide the tubes and having a magic carpet to get back up to the top.
Now we need to keep in mind that this year is different and I am still very thankful so many places are still opening and offering activities for our kids and families.
Even with the changes we are excited to go back to Elm Creek. Our girls have been trying out different sledding hills near our neighborhood and each time they come back laughing. They are both in high school so it just proves that sledding and tubing is something ALL ages can do.
Reservations are required for tubing at Elm Creek this year. Some of the changes included along with the reservations-only policy:
- Tubes can be reserved in two-hour timeframes up to 14 days in advance as conditions allow. A maximum of 10 tubes per day can be reserved. **This means planning is likely required and spur of the moment will likely be rare.
- Face coverings will also be required when in line for or riding rope tows.
- Guests will be required to keep 6 feet between themselves and others.
- The chalet is closed
- Two hours of tubing will be $15
Downhill Tubing Cancellation Policy and Refunds
-Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance for a full refund.
-Refunds will be given if conditions do not permit tubing or if air temperatures reach -25ºF or wind chill temperatures reach -35ºF as measured at Elm Creek Winter Recreation Area.
