Valleyfair Discount Tickets 2024
UPDATE: As of today, 9/19, there is a deal for ValleyScare discount tickets but Valleyfair daytime deals are not currently available. We will update as soon as we find another option!
Score full-day Valleyfair discount tickets for the best price this season! To help you get the best deal, we have a special link to purchase discounted tickets which we have shared for years and thousands of readers have used it to buy tickets, but unfortunately this year corporate policies say we’re only allowed to share the link with our newsletter subscribers.
If you join our newsletter list here, we will send you the discount ticket link immediately! You’re free to unsubscribe at any time, but I think once you see a newsletter you’ll stick around for the deals, freebies and fun Minnesota events we include in each one. (If you already get the newsletter, find the special link near the bottom.)
I admit it can be a bit confusing looking at these discount tickets and the prices currently available on the Valleyfair website as they continue to change.
While Valleyfair offered free parking early in the season, that offer is over and parking is now $26 per vehicle – or $36 for preferred parking, which I do NOT think is worth the price. You’ll be walking in the park all day anyway, so why pay $10 extra to just avoid walking that little bit extra in the parking lot?
When buying tickets directly from the Valleyfair website they charge tax and also a processing fee fee of $6.99 per order. If you’re buying 2 tickets, the final price on the Valleyfair website is $104.51 or 4 tickets is $204.03.
Through our special link tax is already included and the handling fee is $2 per ticket, making the total for 2 tickets $87.98 or 4 tickets $175.96.
Valleyfair Two Day Tickets
Valleyfair doesn’t sell 2-day tickets directly, but they ARE available through our special link and that means that two people could each go for two days for a total of only $129.98 or four people for 2 days is $259.96. These do not have to be consecutive days – you can go any two days now through September 2. So you could use one in June and one in August or however you want to do it.
Which Ticket is the Best Buy??
So, which ticket to buy? It’s confusing, so I’m breaking it down for you in every situation.
I take that back, as of the beginning of July, our special link is the best deal in all situations except for a season pass. I will update this as soon as that changes.
If you’re buying any amount of tickets and don’t need parking because you’re getting dropped off – or you’re just buying a ticket for your child who is traveling there with a group – then the Groupon option is always the best deal. You’ll save a total of $17.69 on two tickets or $35.38 on 4 tickets.
If you’re buying 3 or more tickets the Groupon option is always the best deal, even if you DO need parking. After 3 tickets the $25 you’ll need to pay for parking at the gate is canceled out by ticket savings.
Through June 30th, if you’re only going one day and need to pay for parking, buying directly from the Valleyfair site will be the best option if you need just one or two tickets, but ONLY through June 30. After that parking won’t be included. For 2024, parking at Valleyfair is $25.
If you plan to go just two days during the season, our special link is definitely the best deal.
If you plan to go to Valleyfair three or more times this year, then buying a season pass is definitely the best deal! Not only do you get in the park for free, but you also get free parking, 10% off food and other benefits. Season passes are $89 for silver or $99 for gold. (Gold includes unlimited ValleyScare visits.)
With a season pass, you are also entitled to two Free Valleyfair Pre-K pass for kids ages 3-5.
Valleyfair Ticket Plus Hotel Packages
If you’re coming from a distance to Valleyfair and you’re planning to spend the night, you can bundle and save up to 30% when you combine your hotel with Valleyfair tickets with these special offers! There are 15 hotels to choose from and you can bundle it with either a 1-day or 2-day Valleyfair Ticket.

Saving Money Inside the Park
As far as money-saving tips at the park itself, the first is to try to go on a weekday if you are able because the park is much less crowded. (I actually haven’t been on a weekend in years so I can’t give you an exact comparison.)
Also get there as early a possible. Crowds start building later in the afternoon and you want to get your money’s worth riding as many rides as possible without long lines.
As far as food and drink are concerned, the first thing is to remember that water is FREE. You can bring along a refillable water bottle or, if you don’t do that, you can also get a small plastic water cup at any food stand.
You can also pack a lunch for your family and keep it in a cooler in your car. At lunchtime, get your hand stamped when leaving the park, go eat at the car and then go back in when you’re finished.
If you’re buying food at Valleyfair I think one of the best value options is the chicken fingers and fries meal because it’s a decent sized portion and shareable. In my opinion the pizza is the most overpriced item.
When does Valleyfair open for 2024?
The first day for general admission at Valleyfair was May 14, 2024.
