Snowshoeing in Minnesota

snowshoe

I myself, have only tried snowshoeing once. It’s on my radar to find time to try it again, when the temps get a little bit warmer. Doing some research, I found that there are endless places to rent snowshoes.  That means there’s really not a good reason to give it a try.  Our recently retired neighbor decided this year is the year to get better nature and wildlife photographs.  He decided that snowshoes just might be the trick to getting those.  Another friend of mine wanted to exercise where there is scenery.  Whatever your reason to give it a try, check out some of these places to rent or try them out.  Also if anyone knows of a place we did not mention, please let us know and we will add them to the list.

So many different options, think of all the different scenery you can explore this winter.  A great inexpensive way to get out and see some wildlife and get some exercise.

Comp Tickets to The Elves and The Shoemaker

The Elves and the Shoemaker is a great story for the whole family.  Perhaps you remember reading the book as a kid?  Well now you can see it live, and with comp (complimentary) tickets, you can’t go wrong.  With five shows and three dates to choose from, it will be easy to find one that fits your schedule. December 23, 27,  or 28.  (Just pay the processing fee).

A shoemaker and his wife are facing a cold, bleak winter — that is, until a pair of elves show up who’ve been sent to do “a good deed for a good human.” With a bit of luck and resourcefulness (and a whole lot of silliness), the lil’ elves bring a bit of happiness for the shoemaker. Based on the classic Brothers Grimm fairy tale, this charming musical adaptation from Sidekick Theatre puts a humorous spin on the popular classic, yet keeps the themes of kindness and generosity.
