Visit Burlington Station in Two Harbors to take in the model trains exhibits while snacking on nostalgic treats from Callie’s Sweets.
The next time you take a trip to the North Shore, be sure to make a stop at Burlington Station in Two Harbors. And if you’re in the area this weekend, you can check out their Grand Opening on Saturday, May 29!
The store opens at 10 am, and the festivities kick off at 11 am with a ribbon cutting. There will be live music, a food truck, samples, shopping, and more.
There’s lots to see at Burlington Station with the big attraction being their model trains. They’re not quite done with the installation yet, but eventually they hope to have 5,000 feet of train track loops that will go throughout the inside and outside of the store.
You can also enjoy some sweets inside at Callie’s Sweets and see the treats being made right in front of you!
They’ll also have patio and awning space outside so you can enjoy the Lake Superior breeze along with a game of cornhole or ladder toss.
Burlington Station is located at 320 Seventh Avenue in Two Harbors.
Wondering what else there is to do in Two Harbors? Well, there’s plenty:
- Gooseberry Falls State Park
- Split Rock Lighthouse
- Iona’s Beach
- Lake County Historical Society Museums
- Rustic Inn Café or Betty’s Pies (I much prefer Rustic Inn, but you do you)
- and lots more!
