Head to Union Depot for their special Depot Days every second Tuesday of the month during summer.
Union Depot is such a fun place to visit! We’ve shared about it a lot with their special events, local art fairs, the new Choo Choo Bob’s Train Store and more. It’s becoming more and more accessible to the entire community as a fun gathering space.
This summer is no exception as they are hosting the Depot Days of Summer every second Thursday June through August from 10am to Noon. Each event day will be packed with music, interactive games, dancing and a unique craft aligned with the month’s theme. There will also be special entertainment features such as a face painter, a character meet and greet or balloon artist, ensuring that every child leaves with a prize and a smile.
Each month is a different theme! On June 11 it’s Agriculture Day. Kids of all ages can enjoy an outdoor petting zoo on the North Plaza where children can meet an array of farm animals including goats, rabbits and chickens (weather permitting).
July 9 is Trains and Transportation Day. The Waiting Room will become a hub of activity with exhibits and games sponsored in part by local businesses inside Union Depot including Lowertown Bike Shop and Choo Choo Bob’s Train Store.
August 13 is Team Green. Learn about focusing on environmental awareness, conservation and sustainable living from a variety of exhibits in the Waiting Room.
Choo Choo Bob’s Train Store will offer special play hours every month during Depot Days of Summer. We would highly recommend visiting Union Depot for Choo Choo Bob’s alone! Check out our recent review to learn more.
