The Hiking and Passport clubs will help you discover these new destinations and spend time outdoors in Minnesota, while earning rewards!
How to Sign up for the Hiking Club of Minnesota:
The Hiking Club covers 68 trails throughout Minnesota, at state parks and recreation areas. You’ll go past waterfalls, through woods and prairie, discover wildflowers, and maybe even spot wildlife.
- Purchase a Hiking Club book (online or at a state park Nature Store)
- Book costs $14.95 + shipping
- Choose your hike
- The Hiking Club book includes detailed hikes at each park
- Find the password
- Each Hiking Club trail has a unique password on a sign about halfway through your hike
- Update your log
- Record the password, park name, and distance in your Hiking Club book
- Get rewarded
- Present your log at any state park office to receive a patch and certificate for free nights of camping!
How to Become a Minnesota Passport Club Member:
As a Passport Club member, your goal will be to visit each of Minnesota’s state parks and recreation areas. You will get to see amazing scenery and discover something wonderful and new.
- Purchase a Passport Club book (online or at a state park Nature Store)
- Book costs $14.95 + shipping
- Choose your destination
- The Passport Club kit comes with a map and list of ALL the Minnesota state parks and recreation areas.
- Get the stamp
- Ask to have your passport stamped at the park office, or use the stamp at the entrance station or kiosk.
- Use your travel log
- Jot down your favorite discoveries, scenic views, waterfalls, and adventures.
- Get rewarded
- You’ll receive a pin and certificate for a free night of camping when you get 25 stamps
- When you’ve collected stamps from ALL of Minnesota’s state parks and recreation areas you’ll get another certificate for a free night of camping.
