The 42nd Annual Hmong International Freedom Festival is this Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th in St. Paul.
Head to St. Paul this weekend to immerse yourself in Hmong culture. The 42nd Annual Hmong International Freedom Festival is held at McMurray Field in St. Paul this Saturday, June 29th and Sunday, June 30th. It is the largest Hmong sports event in the United States!
The Hmong International Freedom Festival brings in nearly 60,000 attendees over two days and features a variety of sports matches, including soccer, football, dance and sepak takraw—a volleyball-like game that excludes the use of hands and arms. This year they have waived the admission free so it’s completely free to enter and explore! With over 70 retail vendors and 90 food vendors, it’s sure to be endless fun for the whole family.
New this year is the Beer Garden with live music and entertainment! It has a $5 entry, $8 per cup and is cash only. There is also a main stage where various dancers and musicians will perform throughout the weekend.
