Get up close and interact with alpacas at National Alpaca Farm Days!
The 17th annual National Alpaca Farm Days event is coming up, September 23 and 24!
This is a great opportunity to experience alpacas up close. Many farms allow you to feel the alpaca fleece, tour the farm, view live demonstrations and more. For many of these farms, it is the only time the public can get up close to the alpacas.
A few that I found that are participating include:
- Becker: Crimson Sunrise Farm Alpacas
- Center City: Evergreen Oasis Farm
- Foreston: Triple T Alpaca
- Hastings: Vermillion River Alpacas
- Hutchinson: Rensoc Farm
- Le Center: Farm Cabin Alpacas
- Jenkins: Stella Farms
- Pine Island: Homestead Arts Farm
These that I named are just a few and there are more around the state, so again check out the main website for the Alpaca Owners Association for one in your area. This is an event we have enjoyed as a family. A chance to get up close with some animals that our kids don’t see very often. A great time to learn and ask questions, many of the farms sell items that go to support their farm.
