Working on that summer bucket list? Here’s one location to add: the St. Anthony Falls Visitor Center and Lock and Dam. It opens for the season this Saturday, May 29.
Not only can you walk around and enjoy the beautiful scenery as well as the sounds of rushing water, but you can also check out the visitor center and catch a tour. And since this is a national park, you can also get your Passport to Your National Parks stamped while you’re there.
The Upper St. Anthony Falls Lock and Dam will open to the public for the 2021 summer season on Memorial Day Weekend.
The lock wall will be open to the public from 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Tuesday – Sunday from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. Last entrance will be at 5:15 PM.
Free ranger led tours of the lock and dam are offered daily at 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Learn about the the lock and dam, St. Anthony Falls, and milling. Tours are limited to 10 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.
