Love scary movies? Check out the Scary Movies Series happening Friday nights at select St. Paul area parks!
When you think of Movies in the Park events, you usually think of summer, right? Well, St. Paul is keeping the outdoor movie fun going with their free Scary Movies Series for the next several Friday nights.
One bonus: since sunset is much earlier than it was in the summer, movies start earlier. Movies typically begin at dusk.
Bring along a blanket or a lawn chair so you have a place to sit, of course! All children under 10 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Rated R/NR movies are 18+ events.
Here’s the schedule of movies and where each movie is being hosted:
Friday, September 27: Hocus Pocus (PG) at Como Midway Pavilion
Besides the movie, there will be a costume contest! Dress in your best witch costume and register on-site between 6 – 7 pm. The winner will be announced at 7:15 pm. (And yes, there’s a trophy!)
Friday, October 4: Addams Family Values (PG-13) at Griggs Park
Friday, October 11: Evil Dead Rise (R) at Hidden Falls Regional Park
Friday, October 18: The Babadook (NR) at Mears Park
Please note: Movies are weather dependent and subject to change without notice.
Movies in the Parks are pet friendly events, but pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet at all times. Unless otherwise noted, all movies will be closed captioned in English.
