Calling all runners! Kids 18 years of age and under can enter Twin Cities In Motion in-person events for free!
Twin Cities in Motion has organized the TC Kids Run Free Program. This program allows youth to participate in their events FREE of charge.
The organization supports this effort because running and exercise offer positive outcomes – physically, socially, and academically. Youth running has been a priority of this nonprofit’s mission. Twin Cities in Motion also believes an active next generation is good for our community’s future.
The TC Kids Run Free program began in 2022. It is supported by Twin Cities in Motion Members and donors. More than 3600 kids ran free in TCM events last year! The program continues to seek support and is subject to availability.
How TC Kids Run Free Program Works
- Young runners can register for in-person 5K and longer races FREE via regular online registration
- They earn the same medals and gear provided to adults participating in the event
- Youth have access to race amenities
- Younger kids looking for race distances shorter than 5K, can sign up for FREE 1 mile, half a mile, and pre-K-appropriate races organized in conjunction with all TCM events
