Do you have a toddler that loves trains? Check out Tots and Trains every first and third Wednesday of the month at the Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul.
My daughter and I decided to check out Tots and Trains at Jackson Street Roundhouse last month. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we had such a good time, I wanted to be sure to write up this post to share with you all!
Jackson Street Roundhouse is one of the last operating turntables in the country. It’s a fun space– there are multiple renovated train cars to walk through inside, trains to explore outside, a massive model railroad, train tables, coloring and so much more!
During Tots and Trains, you not only have the opportunity to check out the museum, which on it’s own is plenty– there is a special story time at 10:30am along with a craft and a snack. My daughter and I both loved the energetic conductor who led story time and we enjoyed making crafts together.
Tots and Trains is geared toward kiddos ages 0-6 though all are welcome. We ended up staying for 3 hours when we visited, which is pretty impressive in toddler hours! We had a lot of fun exploring the train museum and meeting the helpful volunteers who were willing to tell us more about the trains and models.
Tots and Trains takes place at the Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul every first and third Wednesday of the month.
