The Trail of Small Wonders at Westwood Hills Nature Center in St. Louis Park opens on July 7th!
As we are checking items off our summer bucket list, I often look for different things to do. We go to many festivals, waterparks, splash pads, etc. but sometimes I just want to do something out of the normal! If you are feeling this way, check out the Trail of Small Wonders at Westwood Hills Nature Center.
Opening July 7th, the Trail of Small Wonders is really amazing: it’s a miniature world of tiny handmade dwellings for fairies, elves, gnomes and perhaps a few trolls. You can stroll through the trail and find all sorts of amazing creations. It’s also completely ADA accessible so everyone can enjoy it!

Best part? Most of the small miniatures were made by community members and you can still make your own wonder to include in the trail. Learn about it on their website.
The Trail of Small Wonders has a fun Opening Day Festival on Monday, July 7th from 4:30 – 8 pm. The Opening Day Festival is free and open to anyone to attend. Of course the trail will be open, but there will also be live music, storytelling, art stations, puppets, food vendors and more! They are encouraging people to come dressed as their favorite woodland creature for the opening day festival.
The Westwood Hills Nature Center is located at 8300 W Franklin Ave in St. Louis Park. The Interpretive Center building is open Monday through Friday, 8 am – 4:30 pm and Saturday and Sunday, 12 – 5 pm.
