Enjoy free admission and programming every Thursday night at the Walker Art Center.
We are lucky to live in an area that offers such a wide array of museums and art galleries! Be sure you make plans to check this interesting space out.
As one of many museums and galleries in Minnesota, it is internationally known.
If you’d like to save money, visit on a Thursday. Gallery admission is FREE from 5 – 9 pm every Thursday night with the Walker Art Center’s Free Thursday Night program.
Even if you take advantage of this offer again and again, the galleries change regularly so you will be sure to notice differences.
Exhibitions are on view anywhere between three months to three years, depending on the show. Typically one to five shows occur at any given time.
Free Thursday Nights are the perfect opportunity to experience the Walker in a new way. Dive headfirst into contemporary art. Find additional programming depending on the night, including exhibition tours, art-making workshops with local artists, and more.
Take advantage of guided gallery tours, available on Thursday evenings at 6pm for no additional cost through August 31st. In addition, the Summer Social program offers a weekly theme to check out.
Summer Social Themes at the Walker:
- July 20, 2023: Place + Making
- July 27, 2023: Buhay Na Buhay: An Evening Curated by the MN Filipix Community
