Did you know there are tons of Fix-It Clinics throughout the State to bring your broken items for repair? Save money and keep things out of the landfill by coming to one of these events!
Attend a Fix-It Clinic to meet with an expert fixer (or sewer) to repair your favorite items. Bring in your old clocks, vacuums, clothing, lamps, bikes, and much more.
These volunteer fixers with skills in soldering, electronics repair, electrical repair, sewing, and general tinkering are ready to help. More than 75% of items leave repaired or with the owners having skills and info needed to repair them.
That “having skills and info part” I just mentioned is important. Not only can you get your items fixed up at the clinic, but the experts are also available to teach you something about fixing and building your own abilities. It’s a great opportunity to bring the kids along as the family friendly clinics are as much about learning and teaching troubleshooting and how things work (or don’t work) as they are about fixing things.
